ABOUT ME

I hold a BA from Carleton University, an MA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a PhD from Queen's University, Kingston. Originally from Great Britain, I grew up in the Northwest Territories (Inuvik and Yellowknife). My research focuses on social movements, political agency, and identity, looking at phenomena such as the peace movement and the women's movement. I live in London with my partner, Bill Robinson, and a particularly energetic and precocious 9 year old. I have the requisite dog, a Beagle named Zeus.   Outside interests include music, film, beer, single malts, biking, canoeing, craftiness and explosions of the fireworks variety.
